Peer Lesson 1: Name Drawings

 

Description: The drawing activity was really fun to do. We created name art through drawing 6-7 vertical lines across our papers, and then 4 horizontal lines across. We then wrote our names in bubble letters, and for those who had longer names, they wrote either their nicknames or initials. We chose two to three or four different colored crayons to color our papers. We had to color in a pattern that made our names still visible, while also making sure no color touched a square with the same color. 

Extension Activity: For this activity, I would extend this by challenging students to make smaller and more horizontal and vertical lines as well as a longer name/word. I would also try this exact project with some object rather than a name.
